Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka shankar is an British and American sitar player. She also plays music. She was among the youngest and the first woman to be awarded a British House of Commons Shield she's received Nine Grammy Awards nominations and was the first musician of Indian of Indian descent to perform live in concert and be a presenter for the ceremony. Anoushka Sitar Shankar is an Indian young sitar artist. She is the daughter and pupil of Ravi Shankar. Born in London in 1982, and began her life by hopping between London as well as New Delhi. When she was 13, she gave her first performance in New Delhi. In the following years she moved to Encinitas CA she attended high school, graduating with distinction in 1999.
