Kirsten Vangsness is an American actor since the early 1990s. Her most notable role was that of Penelope Garcia, in the critically acclaimed crime procedural Criminal Minds. Kirsten Vangsness played Penelope Garcia in the television series Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders and also in two of its spin-offs: Criminal Minds: Suspect Behaviour. While she is primarily acting on TV shows but she also has played some small roles in films since making her debut in the show business in 1998. In her film career, her most notable roles include 'In My Dream', The Chicago 8', and Kill Me, Deadly. She has written articles to The Los Angeles Times and co-wrote episodes for "Criminal Minds". She loves animals particularly cats. She frequently rescues and rehabilitates animals that are injured or abandoned.
